WHERE WE ARE

Africa Wild Truck head quarter or base is plunged into the nature of Mulanje, in Malawi, at 80 kilometers from the city of Blantyre.

Our offices and our eco-camp & lodge are at the foot of Mount Mulanje, that is part of the Mulanje Forest Mountain Reserve. Mount Mulanje is 3002 m high and is the highest peak in southern Africa.
Because of its unique climate, its endemic plants and animals, the area where our base is located belongs to the world network of the biosphere reserves and is also on the list of the sites that are about to get the title of World Heritage.

Africa Wild Truck Mulanje camp and lodge

You can always book your stay at Africa Wild Truck eco- camp and lodge, at 700 m altitude, choosing between comfortable rooms and camping. The trekking – hiking tours to the legendary paths that lead to Sapitwa Peak, at 3002 meters, start also from our base, at an altitude of 800 m., from the less travelled and more authentic side of the mountain. Relaxing walks into green tea plantations or neighbor villages are also organized. Lastly, you will be able to visit and actively partecipate to our Community projects AROUND AWT.

Office

At Africa Wild Truck head quarter you will visit our office and the shop “La Bottega” where you can find some local products as our self made honey -we keep bees into our forest- mango or papaya jam, baobab powder, moringa powder, coal african chitenje bags and obviously t-shirts and hats with Africa Wild Truck logo!

Staff

Wilson, Marvellous, Eveline, Margareth, Matthew, Vutika, Edna, Mercy, Edda, Mupapha and all the Malawian staff of Africa Wild Truck that works all year long by our side are there waiting to meet you!
